My family is at the park giving me a few moments to myself before friends join us to trick-or-treat. The boys are really looking forward to dressing up and heading outside to walk the neighborhood. I just love all things Fall; from Crisp falling leaves, apples and pumpkins to Halloween to New Years. I love Fall clothes, Fall foods and Fall colors. I think I'm happiest in the Fall.
This year my boys are going to be Harry Potter and Indiana Jones. I'm looking forward to getting some great photos and scrapbooking them. Last year and the year before Dylan insisted on being Cat in the Hat. I tried to convince him to be something different last year. Unfortunately, he wasn't too concerned about his Mama and her having to scrapbook the same costume two years in a row. Ha! Two years before, Dylan was going to be a monkey. I put his costume on and he burst out crying. Seriously! These were the only photos I got that night. I couldn't stomach the crying. Turns out, he was getting sick with a nasty cold. We didn't trick-or-treat, which at that age, was fine by me and him.
So, last year Brody got to be the monkey. He was pretty thrilled about it. He thought he was super cool and was really excited to go out and trick or treat with his big brother. The year before, he wanted nothing to do with trick-or-treating, so we were excited for him. I did this layout to remember that moment.
I had the honor of being featured on The Everyday Scrapper site. This is a great little site with lots of tips, techniques and sketches. There is a ton to look through and it's worth it. Below is the layout I did for the feature.
If you celebrate Halloween, I hope you have a safe and fun one!
