Creative Imaginations, IOD, and a Contest

One of my favorite releases from the Winter CHA show from Creative Imaginations is from Iron Orchid Designs (IOD). The two cute sisters, Sally and Josie, behind these designs have been around the industry for a very long time. I'm so grateful they are now with Creative Imaginations and that I get to play with their stunning products. The two lines they released, and that are shipping to stores soon, are Beloved and Loolah.

Here is what you need to do, go find your favorite retailer and get them to come join the fun on their fanpage, so they can keep up with the latest IOD products available to them and then and here's the fun part.....you BOTH get entered into a drawing for $100 prize package of IOD products!

You can enter as many retailers as you want, and each time you're entered again for the drawing!!! So go get busy!! 

There will be ONE thread on which you entry will be counted, so please have you and your retailer post to THAT thread and only post once per retailer that you are entering! The thread will say "ENTER MDC HERE" and you can find it on our fanpage here. Every member of the IOD fanpage is eligible for this contest, so if you're not one, what are you waiting for?  Contest ends at midnight march 31, 2010 PST.

Here is a layout I did using the IOD Beloved Collection, the new Real Wood, and Petaloo Flowers (aren't the blue Candies to die for?). This layout is of my son at 3 weeks and the photograph was taken by Shannon Montez. I used the thin Cherry Real Wood and a border punch to mat the photo on the left side. I, also, made the roses with it. The wood is really flexible and easy to shape however you choose.

The Tooth Fairy & the Sinus Infection

This little guy has been feeling pretty lousy since last Thursday afternoon. He has had a fever nearly every day since then and is now finally on antibiotics for what we think is a sinus infection. 

There has been one bright spot during this week of illness, however, and that is a visit from the Tooth Fairy. D's front tooth has been threatening to fall out for weeks, but it just kept hanging in there with no mind to D's constant annoyance with it. 

Brody even tried to help it along by kicking his brother right in the mouth as he was bending down in the car to get his umbrella for school. Let's just say, D made it to class eventually, Brody spent plenty of time in his room, and the tooth prevailed.

Last weekend, D was finally able to wrest the tooth free and eagerly awaited seeing what the Tooth Fairy would bring. The Tooth Fairy brings cash to our house. This is a good thing in D's view as he has it in his head he is going to save $400 for the Lego Death Star set. It's probably a good time to have a serious discussion about finances with him.

Lily Bee Love and a Contest

Lily Bee has launched a new facebook page and has decided to run a contest to celebrate. If you become a fan and post on the contest thread, you will be entered to win the entire new Hello Sunshine Collection. Please do not say that I sent you. I cannot win, but you and your friend can. :) 

I thought I'd share a couple of recent Hello Sunshine layouts with you just to show you what you can win. I love, love, love this collection. It's so bright and so very versatile. 

 

 

On this first one, I just waned to try out a monochromatic page using the gorgeous reds in the collection. Last month our theme was "loving" and I showed how I love Sonoma. 

This month our theme is "New Beginnings" and this layout is about my son's first time sledding and how we will be going every year from now on because of his love for it. The bright papers definitely say "Summer", but they worked GREAT for my Winter layout. I really think they can go with any kind of layout.
